The State Tournament will be held SATURDAY, MAY 4th, 2024 at Western Michigan University. Tournament Headquarters will be in the Swain library on the 2nd floor of Sangren Hall on Main Campus!
DATES/TIMES
The competition runs from 7:30 am until 5:00 p.m. There are options to sign up for specific events throughout the day, or you can sign up for a shift (spot) that is all day, 1/2 day morning, or 1/2 day afternoon. (Lunch will be provided)
ASSIGNMENTS
Positions mostly involve helping with specific events, but some are available for general tasks, such as scoring tests, helping with the Awards Ceremony, and even impounds. Each event has a description that lists what students will be doing, and what possible tasks a volunteer may assist with.
While this is a STEM focused event, we encourage all different academic disciplines to participate! If your area of study or STEM passion is an event's focus, choose that one!
Events indicated as "Crucial Positions!" are ones that led directly to the end of the tournament. It is of upmost importance that these event's tests are scored and reported in a timely manner in order for the Awards Ceremony to run smoothly.
All positions must be filled and are important to the success of the tournament. You can sign up for more than one shift as long as the times do not overlap. If there is time before or after your assignment and you would like to help in other areas, please let us know!
You will not need to create a password as a volunteer. You re-enter the site with your email. Easy!
